Owen Wilson back at home

Less than a week after his suicide attempt, Owen Wilson is back at home - and being watched around the clock. "Owen is in bad mental shape but said he is thankful to be alive," says a source close to the actor, who returned to his Santa Monica home on Saturday. "He knows he came close to ending his life, and he is happy that he was saved from himself. He is basically at home with people watching him 24/7." Wilson's rep declined to comment.

Kate Walsh ties the knot

Grey's Anatomy alum Kate Walsh wed movie exec Alex Young this afternoon. Walsh wore a custom-made Monique Lhuillier wedding gown as she and Young exchanged vows at the Ojai Presbyterian Church in the town of Ojai north of LA. Among the 100 guests were Grey's co-stars Katherine Heigl, Chandra Wilson, Sara Ramirez and Justin Chambers. Kate Beckinsale and her husband also attended. A lavish reception was scheduled to follow at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa's Casa Elar.

Britney's quick Vegas club appearance

Britney Spears made a brief appearance at the grand opening of Luxor's LAX nightclub in Vegas last night. With her new song Gimme More blasting, Spears showed up just after midnight as the celebrity host of the club's grand opening. "How you guys feeling? Let's have a good night," she told the crowd from a platform above the DJ booth. Wearing a short dress, a white fedora hat and oversize red sunglasses, the popstar spent about 20 minutes in the VIP area at a table next to magician Criss Angel, who's helping her shape her upcoming VMA performance. At one point, she took Angel's red lollipop out of his mouth and put it in hers. She then headed to the ultra-private Noir Bar next to the club. "She didn't really do anything in there," said a source. "It looked like she was...hanging with her girlfriends." After an hour at the Noir Bar, Spears returned to LAX and was rejoined by Angel, who danced with her and took off one of his necklaces to put around her neck. Twenty minutes later they left for the Noir Bar together. In all, Spears spent about 40 minutes in two shifts at LAX for her much-advertised hosting gig, all of it in the VIP area.

Colin Firth stalker arrested

An unidentified employee of the Royal Mail in London was arrested on August 24 for harassing actor Colin Firth. The mailwoman, who has been taken into custody for stalking Firth in the past, had applied to move her delivery route in order to deliver his mail. The woman allegedly posted fabricated accounts of meetings with the British actor on a popular Firth fan site. A rep for Firth had no comment.
