"I grew up in Texas, and country music was what I listened to. I always wanted to make a country album, but I wanted to wait until the time was right." She also cites Martina McBride, Shania Twain, Faith Hill and Reba McEntire as inspirations, adding, "I think there is a strength in female country artists." She won't reveal her songwriting collaborators, but tells the website: "Writing is a release for me. It's a way for me to tell my story. That's not to say I wouldn't record a song that I didn't write. It's just that it has been a while since I have opened the book." Simpson is still not certain if she'll hit the road to support the disc, which is due later this year. Eddie Murphy celebrated New Year's Day by tying the knot with film producer Tracey Edmonds. Their representatives said the pair exchanged vows Tuesday on a private island off Bora Bora in French Polynesia in front of a small group of family and friends. Murphy and Edmonds began dating in 2006 and were engaged in July. Murphy, 46, has five children from his marriage to Nicole Mitchell Murphy, who filed for divorce in 2005. He also has a daughter with Spice Girls singer Melanie Brown. Edmonds, 40, has two sons from her 13-year marriage to singer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. Will you pay $400 for this haircut?
Looking pretty is costing John Edwards' presidential campaign a lot of pennies. The Democrat's campaign committee picked up the tab for two haircuts at $400 each by celebrity stylist Joseph Torrenueva of Beverly Hills, Calif., according to a financial report filed with the Federal Election Commission.

FEC records show John Edwards also availed himself of $250 in services from a trendy salon and spa in Dubuque, Iowa, and $225 in services from the Pink Sapphire in Manchester, N.H., which is described on its Web site as "a unique boutique for the mind, body and face" that caters mostly to women.
First, what kind of a salon in Dubuque, Iowa can charge that much for a haircut? Secondly, would you willing to pay this price for a haircut?

Man Fashion: Stefane Monzon aka Fictional Designer
Made popular by "Fashion Show" in September 2006, commissioned by Grey Worldwide and directed by James Rouse with The Viral Factory, "Fashion Show" purports to chronicle the latest work of fictional designer Stefane Monzon, whose canvas is hair - specifically pubic hair. Staged in LA, the piece has a grounded, realistic tone, despite the outrageous styling choices. Edited by Justin Trovato at Jigsaw Editorial, the film jumps from backstage to center stage, and the crowd was wowed by the show, which they perceived to be real - only the models, actors, and production staff knew it was a setup.
