Shoes Tendency. Fringed Shoes are The Hit Of This Season Fall-Winter 2008-2009

Fashion Shoes 2009

Fringes boots, flats and pumps, bags and accessories are extremely fashionable this season. Pocahontis-style, with tassels and fashionable fringing on fall’s shoe-boots and winter footwear, and summer slingback sandals are very popular.

Gucci’s fall 2008 collection shows hobo shoulder bags and Russian Cossack-style long fringe-tassel boots with flying leather fringes on them. Fringed boots are the defining feature of the trend, with other details like studs and tooled leather adding to the crafty, bohemian feel.

From pendants to scarves and tassel belts, there is a big amount of products to choose from if you just want to get dressed in the trend.

Some say we have to blame Kate Moss for fringed obsession. She loves moccasin boots so much that it caused them to stay on the fashion top.

2-Layer suede boots from Bebe demand attention in this high fashion.

Jessica Alba's New Ad for Declare Yourself

Jessica Alba declares herself in a shocking new ad for Declare Yourself, the campaign devoted to getting people to vote.

Fit for a Queen (and a Killer Hangover)

Somehow, I started getting spam—I mean helpful email newsletters—from this rando store based in Boston, Queen Bee. Anyone get these things? I finally, finally decided to click on something within one of their missives today, and lo and behold: pretty things! On sale!

Alice + Olivia chiffon blouse, $85.80. I love everything about this blouse. Sheer perfection (GET IT??).

Alice + Olivia batwing sweater, $85.80. This strikes me as very Tamron-esque, but I adore it too. Extra-smalls, have at it!

Tibi turtleneck with tie, $70.40. I have a long-standing aversion to turtlenecks, but this is just pretty enough to make me reconsider my embargo.

Tibi cropped jacket, $89.10. This sorta looks like something you could pick up in Forever 21 for, like, $21.80 or whatever, but the print is so fun.

QI cashmere earmuffs, $60, because your ears deserve only the very best.

And for when you feel like maybe those two glasses of wine, three beers and two rum drinks were maybe a bit much, there's this awesome Gal Pal retro ice bag, $15.

The Jolie-Pitts Have Arrived

Brad and Angelina are in the Big Apple! Arriving just this morning, Angie is in town to walk the red-carpet at the premiere of her film The Changeling. So, very important, we need sightings! Anything, let us know ASAP!

Man Fashion: Are You More Savvy When Come to Men Fashion?

In this financial turmoil, I am sure everyone are cutting down to their spending on men fashion clothing, so the first and direct impact will be all the big guys on the streets. Some of the stores reported sales was down by 30% as compare to last year, and this even expanded to most of their online stores too, Gucci, Guess, D&G, DKNY you name it.

It does not mean people are cutting down their buying, but just some change of buying habits. SourceWire reported that Men’s discount designer fashion website sees a 20% increase in traffic during this period.

Managing Director of Fashion Hunt, David Card comments on the increase in visitors:

“People are still spending money on the things they want, they are just being a bit more savvy when it comes to where they buy. The Fashion Hut has seen a 20% increase in visitors because people can buy designer fashion very reasonably, shoppers are changing the way they shop and discount stores are benefiting from that.”

So are you more savvy and change your buying habits lately? Give your opinion in my poll.

The Puffer Trench

Every year when fall comes around, I am shocked by how cold it is. Summer and time does a good job of fading away memories of the bitter cold and biting wind. Walking around, people are pulling out their trench coats against the cold. But is that enough to keep us warm? It IS only made out of a layer of cloth (or two, counting layers) after all. I own one and I don't find it very warm at all. Maybe I'm just more easily chilled than others, but I'm thinking that something a bit more substantial is called for. Luckily for me, Burberry knew just what I was thinking.
I am loving Burberry's latest puffer trench coat. Lined lightly with down, it is most definitely warm enough for fall. Unlike other puff jackets however, it still has SHAPE. A very slimming and flattering trench coat shape at that. What more can you want? It will totally last you all the way through fall (plus or minus some layers) and maybe even winter (probably not for snow though, for snow you need the heavy duty stuff)!

Lopez's Surprise at Pixie Posh

No stranger to image experimentation herself, Jennifer Lopez says she was surprised by Victoria Beckham's recently-cropped hair.

"I was so shocked. I arranged to meet up with her the day she had it done. She didn’t tell me what she was doing, so I turned up and there was she was with this incredibly short black hair. I was knocked out," says Lopez. "I told her she looked like Audrey Hepburn. I think she’s such a great girl."

Like Audrey? Careful now.
