Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain. . .part III: bags

Now that we have umbrella's and water resistent boots, we must not let our bags soak either! Luckily for us, designers have designed water resistent bags as well to protect all our not-water-proof wallets and cosmetics- perfect for the rain.

I love loveLOVE this pink Dior girly water proof bowling bag. The shape is soo cute and soo practical. Imagine all the stuff you can fit into it!

For a more conventional bag, this classical Versace tote is just the thing. You can even fit your super stylish foldable umbrella into it!

Although when it comes to being classical, I don't think you can top this Louis Vuitton tote. There's nothing as classical and timeless as this style matched with the LV print.

But if you don't want the world to know the contents of your bag, then this LuLu Guiness tote is perfect. Her designs are always so chic, different and distinctly British.

We are also loving this yellow Gap bag. The two pockets in the front is so reminiscent of Balenciaga and the yellow is just the thing to remind us of the arrival of spring/summer 2005 with all its wedges, colors, prints and patterns.

In fact, these bags are actually really versatile and not limited to the rainy season at all. Not only can u wear it casually, but it would be perfect for the beach as well (well except for the Gap one perhaps)! They are water proof and large enough to fit all your beach essentials.

Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain. . .part II: rain boots

God forbid we should ruin our manolo's and choo's in a muddy patch on the street trying to maintain our chic in the rainy season. So keep your feet chic and dry in these water/dirt repellent rain boots.

Brave the rain in these very classical but stylish Marc by Marc Jacob rain boots. They are so stylish in fact that it is wearable normally too!

For the classical British chic look, these pink Burberry patterned rain boots are just the thing. And they'd look soo cute with a matching burberry patterned umbrella.
Image hosted by Photobucket.comImage hosted by Photobucket.com

Take a page from Mischa Barton with these fun and colorful Pucci rain boots. It definitely adds life to an otherwise plain outfit.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

These Paul Smith rain boots are also very colorful and lively. I especially love the pointy toes and kitten heels, giving it extra style and some height, making it distinctly feminine. AND it matches the Paul Smith umbrella featured yesterday!

And speaking of matching, we mustn't miss out these gorgeous Coach rain boots, which also matches the umbrellas featured yesterday. I just adore these colorful Coach patterns, the color contrast is done soo well.

With all these gorgeous rain boots, I say, bring on the puddles!

Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain. . .part I: umbrellas

Now that Spring has arrived, we must all be prepared to look fashionable even in the rainy weather. And so this week we have prepared a series of blogs on rain accessories so you can keep dry and fashionable in spring!

And who better to turn to then the experts on rain accesories then Burberry? This burberry print umbrella is just oh-so-classical, perfect for the classic british chic look and matches absolutely anything. Although one must be careful to not go over-to-top Burberry and wear head to toe burberry with it. Or go for this "umbrella print" burberry umbrella, for more diversity.

But if you want a more fun and vibrant look, then this patterned (mostly) orange Paul Smith and floral patterned purple Etro umbrella is perfect. This will defintely differentiate you from the rest of the crowd.

These Coach umbrellas is the American answer to Burberry. Their new scribble print umbrella is soo cool. The colorful and fun print allows it to be matched with almost anything. And the red one has just the right contrast of red to give the classical Coach print a fun and lively edge.

For those of you who want more practical umbrellas, this classical Louis Vuitton umbrella and this Lulu Guinness black polka dot one is perfect. The classical LV print on the inside of the umbrella and the polka dot print of the Lulu Guiness umbrella gives these practical umbrellas just the right twist of style.

There's a perfect umbrella for everyone. The only problem is, do we want the ever practical and convenient foldable version or the very chic long version?

Could the fashionable designer laptop bag for the femme be far behind?

Hedi Slimane, the designer behind the Dior Homme collection, is the first to expand into making designer ipod cases for the trendy and fashionable. His vintage Dior ipod case and the recent ipod mini case with a chain was a stroke of genius.

So much that his fellow designers took his lead and went onto designing even more gorgeous ipod cases. And the results were gorgeous. . .

From the classical Louis Vuitton case to the fun colorful Juicy Couture case . . .

. . . . . to the Kate Spade case. And now the ipod is becoming a fashion accessory in the Valentino Autumn/Winter 2005-06 fashion show last month!

This combining technology and fashion doesn’t stop here. Dior is going to launch a new Dior Digital line, including even more ipod cases, cases for memory cards and digital cameras and yes, laptop cases, to be in store this summer. I am pretty excited about this new collection, because to be honest, we have pitifully little choices to choose from when it comes to laptop bags. And if Slimane can motivate so many to make designer ipod cases, with this new digital line, can even more fashionable and trendy designer laptop cases for the femme be far behind?
