Marais USA Boots = Step Back Into The '90s
It's 1993 all over again up in here. I'm not saying you need to go get all frayed flannel-y and cut off a pair of Lee Jeans. I'm just saying that I recently bought these Marais USA super-soft faux leather army boots (they're like a kinder, gentler Doc Marten), and they were SUCH a wise winter purchase. And that I've been wearing opaque black tights on the regular. And wishing I had the My So-Called Life box set. And that I'm listening to The Sugarcubes.

Because I live a VERY glamorous life -- trust me -- I was walking down the unBELIEVABLY chic streets of East Broadway at 8:50 or so in the morning one recent morning, en route to the FINEST post office in Lower Manhattan -- the Knickerbocker branch, where you're always greeted with a smile -- and on the makeshift walkway next to all of the not-at-all gritty ongoing construction, I passed a splintery wooden board with THIS snipe -- JOAN EFFING COLLINS for ALEXIS BITTAR. It was like the heavens had parted and a rainbow unfurled and splashed out across a fucking wooden board. My FAVORITE 1980s power dresser and power bitch for my favorite jewelry designer, Alexis Bittar. Lucite, shoulder pads, a frosted smoky eye, and unbridled backstabbing and rage = LOVE, no?

Benetton Ad Campaign Casting
Benetton is looking for you. Yes you. For their new ad campaign. They are looking for something new and different, unconventional and surprising. You can post your photos online in the look-book as well as post a video to express your personality. The top 100 looks (based on user voting) will receive 200 euro in Benetton vouchers and will be featured in a book about global style.
