Mills' former fiance writes open letter to McCartney

The former fiance of Heather Mills has written a letter to Paul McCartney consoling him on his recent split with the one-time model, which was published by a British newspaper. "I should probably thank you for having taken my seat on a plane that was doomed to crash in flames," the letter reads. "Maybe one day we could have a beer together and compare notes because we have both been "Heathered" and that is something a chap never forgets. When I met Heather I almost immediately fell under her spell. I soon realized that Heather had a somewhat elastic relationship with the truth." The letter-writer was engaged to Mills and dumped six days before they were due to wed - just after Mills met McCartney.
