Tommy Hilfiger and Axl Rose put on a show for a crowd of celebs at a new club in Manhattan called The Plumm when the two got into fisticuffs. According to Rose, Hilfiger's temper was set off when the G&R singer moved the designer's girlfriend's drink. "I moved his girlfriend's drink so it wouldn't spill. It was the most surreal thing, I think, that's ever happened to me in my life. He just kept smacking me," Rose told an LA radio station. The party was packed with A-listers like Lenny Kravitz, Molly Simms and Wentworth Miller. "First [Rose and Hilfiger] were sitting. Then they were pulling on each other... It got so out of control," said an witness. "A bunch of security ran over - but Tommy would not back down. He was just out to take him down. Kid Rock got trampled by people running over. It was unbelievable." The club was hosting a birthday party for actress Rosario Dawson, and Rose had been invited to play a surprise set. The owner of the club said, "There was an issue between the two of them," the owner of the bar said. "Axl was a gentleman and had the good sense not to retaliate, as he would have done some serious damage to Hilfiger." When Rose took the stage, he dedicated the song You're Crazy to "my good friend Tommy Hilfiger."
